Austin Unbound World Premieres at the Hollywood Theatre:

Saturday’s Premiere Event  11/12 had a huge turnout. Our MC Shannon Graham and the  Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, kept the crowd entertained. Shira Grabelsky and Sister Glory Glory Holelujah led a blessingway for the “Austin Unbound” launch into the world. Guests at the After Party enjoyed pool, food, an awesome ASL Drag DVD, and a champagne toast with the cast/crew. Yummy sweets for the weekend were provided by Pangea, Cupcake Jones & Voodoo Doughnuts.

Sunday’s Matinee 11/13  Wrapped up with a panel moderated by Patricia Keeney, PFLAG Mom who helped look at the layered themes in “Austin Unbound” from an family and ally perspective. Austin’s Grandmother joined the stage and told how much she loves her grandson. The wrap-party at Crush featured a discussion moderated by CM Hall who explored transgender & gender variance in the Deaf & hearing communities with panelists including Austin, Reid Vanderburg, Josie Krueger, and Tash Shatz. A concert featuring live music by artists who influenced and contributed the “Austin Unbound” score: Ashleigh Flynn & Sneakin’ Out. was interspersed with dialogue by filmmaker Eliza Greenwood & music supervisor Eric Maxen, who explained revealed the challenges of implementing this particular film score.
